I was born and raised in Minnesota, where I made my first pinch pot in first grade. I studied sculpture and archaeology at The University of Arizona, and earned a bachelor's degree in Anthropology and Studio Art. For the past 3 decades, I lived in Tucson, minus a few years in NYC. I currently reside in San Diego.
While clay is my preferred medium, I have an affinity for stones and have a long history of making jewelry and collecting them.
When I'm not in my studio, I enjoy hiking, traveling, and playing with my dog.
